Gold Blooded
_Liquid gold surrounding black & white player photography. Images of rings, banners, and trophies overlayed onto swooshes. Metallic gold, that of the Larry O'Brien championship trophy, covering basketballs and jersey logos. These are the visual elements of the campaign that supported the 2022 NBA champs throughout their postseason.
After not making playoffs in 2020, we wanted to remind fans of the championship DNA that carried the legacy of this team, and how that champion's blood is at the core of each player who put on a Warriors jersey during the 2021-22 championship season.
To bring excitement and energy to every Warriors event and game inside Chase Center, we installed a number of wall-wraps that lined the hallways of the arena. The Gold Blooded designs also found their way out of the arena and into the streets of San Francisco, advertising at Muni stops and street-pole banners throughout the city.
We updated the look from black to blue for all championship uses, which included a dozen custom-designed buses to sport the players and their families through the procession, celebrating team pride by returning to the familiar Warriors colors.
